Port of Bremerton Community Outreach Meetings
Bremerton (WA) –
The Port of Bremerton kicks off a series of community meetings Tuesday to encourage citizen involvement and improve communication between the Port and its taxpayers.
"We haven't done a good enough job explaining our mission and we need to do a better job listening to the citizens whose taxes help pay for what we do," said Port CEO Cary Bozeman, "Direct engagement with the community has to be a regular part of the way we do business."
The community meetings will be held in each of the Port's three districts, beginning Tuesday night in Seabeck for residents of District 3. The meeting will begin at 5:30 p.m. and take place at the Seabeck Conference Center. CEO Bozeman, District 3 Commissioner Bill Mahan and directors of the Port's operating divisions and finances will make short presentations or remarks, with most of the meeting reserved for questions and open dialogue.
