Our airport now offer’s charter service! Our fixed-based operator, Avian Flight Center has just received FAA approval of their charter certificate. Wings of Freedom Tour Brought History to BNA

Four of the most famous WWII bomber and fighter aircraft made a stop on the Bremerton National Airport. Click here for photos and news about the event. 

The event featured a pop-up museum and military vehicles on display. The Collings Foundation provided a great opportunity to see up-close these remarkable thanks to the Collings Foundation Wings of Freedom Tour.

U.S. veterans and former POWs, Robert W. Meyer and Kenneth E. Jensen spent time with Port staff during the event and shared their heroin tales of their experiences. Mr. Jensen was a Ball Turret gunner in the belly of a B-17 during WWII - one of the aircraft on display at the event. He was captured by German forces in Nuremberg in 1944. Mr. Meyer fought in the Battle of Bulge and was captured by German forces in Luxembourg on December 18.1944.It was an honor for visitors of the event to get to interact with these men and hear their stories.

2012 WSDOT Aviation Economic Impact Study

On July 24, 2012, Washington State Department of Transportation Director of Aviation, Tristan Atkins, provided a detailed presentation to the Port Commission during a public Work Study Session. The presentation addressed the results of the 2012 Aviation Economic Impact Study and, in particular, Bremerton National Airport's direct regional economic impact.
